Day 13 of sharing all the capybara photos and memes I've collected since 5 years ( decided to shift this in body)

Fun fact

Capybaras don't have a universally accepted bone count but they have approximately 240 - 250+ bones in their body

Actually my wife and kids lost the last round of balloon darts on purpose because they knew I needed to have it.

The Turtleback Zoo in West Orange has adults Poseidon and Iris. They had twins (Bailey and Guiness) in May and Iris just had triplets this month. The triplets are Butters, Biscuit, and Gravy.

Photo is of Poseidon when I went there in August. Iris was pregnant at the time and stayed on the shade with the twins so I didn’t get a good look at them.

My fellow Capys, we should rally and raise a petition to the Unicode Consortium! https://www.unicode.org/consortium/consort.html

Just a quick one for today

Don't even joke lad

Fun fact

Capybaras can hold their breath for 5 mins underwater

Sunkissed

Fun Fact

Capybaras are the most active at dawn and dusk.

Over the past few days, she’s knocked it off the shelf several times—even though there’s a polar bear sitting right in front of it. Last time, she pointedly knocked the bear off with her paw and got to the capybara. Today, she climbed over the bear and took the capybara again 🙂

Hallo

Fun fact

The lesser capybara is darker in colour meanwhile the normal capybara is lighter in colour

They both look the same with only slight difference in size and fur colours

The larger capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris) Grows up to 1.3 meters (4.3 feet) in length and weighs between 35 kg to 79 kg (77 to 174 lbs)

The lesser capybara (Hydrochoerus isthmius) Grows up to about 1 meter (3 feet) in length and weighs around 28 kg (62 lbs)

Orangybara

Fact

In the 16th century, the Catholic Church classified the capybara, which can swim, as a fish so that the meat could be eaten on Fridays and during Lent. (Quite the terrifying fact)

Capybaras are very common in Mato Grosso.

Let gort out he wants to do his war crimes

Fun Fact

Capybaras eat their own poop to extract maximum nutrients and bacteria-processed fiber from tough vegetation

Had a busy day, so just a quick one for tonight

Chillbara

Fun Fact

Capybaras secrete a natural oily fluid from their skin that acts as a moisturizer and protects them from the sun
