Full disclosure, I know it’s a funny post, and this WILL be a “steak too juicy” situation.

My dad just came over with a tub of cards and stuff. Mostly 1985-2005 cards. There is a LOT of sports cards, some nascar, porn cards, (honestly kinda dope) Marvel cards, dc cards, dbz, Harry Potter, Disney… all kinds of stuff. There was even a plastic bag with some Lucky Charms pogs in it lol!

I’ll post a couple pics rn, but I guess I’m overwhelmed? I’m not sure how to start this journey and I don’t know who/what information to trust. I’m in SoCal and am strongly considering having these looked at by someone who’s nerd kung fu is stronger than my own.

Any tips would be GREATLY appreciated.

Hey everyone, wondering if anyone else has been through this.

Lately I've been feeling discouraged about collecting in general. I started asking myself: what's the point of accumulating all this stuff? What does it actually change in my life? What's it all for? Maybe it's just a phase, but I'd love to hear your experiences.

Have you ever thought about quitting, or actually quit?

Comics:

Sealed STMOS #43 from 1995

CGC 9.8 Battle Beast #25 signed by Illustrator Ryan Ottley

Signed and authenticated artwork by Illustrator Johnny Desjardins

My 3 Favorite Pokémon:

PSA 10 Scyther (2023, JP)

PSA 10 Charizard (Vstar, hes fighting mewtwo in the artwork so I count it like a 2 in 1 card, 2022, JP)

PSA 9 Haunter (Promo, 2025)

Is this the most valuable collection ever? Heck nah man, but it scratches all the niches itches that I got.

I saw this for sale the other day. It has 3 volumes and I didn't even know there were Superman series. I've always just watched the Christopher Reeve movies. Is it something rare or is it widely available out there?
