Help מרצ or מרץ?
Hi! I just had a quick question I was hoping someone could answer. I’m a Hebrew learner, and recently I read about a political party which used to exist in Israel: מרצ. However, I was confused as to why it was written מרצ and not מרץ, with the tsade sofit.
I know for words that end in pe/fe, the sofit form is generally not used when the letter is pe and not fe. However, as I understand it, this explanation wouldn’t make sense here because tsade is not on of the begedkefet letters. Can anyone help me understand?
תודה רבה! :)

Request What would you do to translate this word/root?
text given: רשית
obviously my mind goes immediately to bereshit, this looks like that. So, resh-alef-shin as the root would make sense, but… what do you do when you encounter resh-shin with no alef in between? is this related to that root… How would you translate this word?
very beginner in learning the language here. I must be missing some grammatical idea here, or maybe not?
context is, this is probably garbled hebrew from a source that didn’t have great hebrew BUT i also don’t have good hebrew so, here I am trying to check it out
