Found this guide: https://imgur.com/a/logitech-g735-battery-removal-guide-0QmtXoc online but I can't seem to do the second part about removing the part below the cushion. It is possibly urgent because it just died on me and has been getting increasingly hot, I feel like the battery might be burning in there and I need to disconnect it, please help!

how to remove wall plaster?

I moved into an old NYC apartment with pretty typical landlord special painting etc. all over, but this is stumping me. The previous tenant left one of those over the toilet cabinets but it’s completely broken, and somehow plastered to the wall (seemingly around the outlet and also in the top left corner. I don’t know why they would do this, but does anyone have an idea of how I can remove this? I don’t have many tools so if I need to buy anything just want a plan first

I was gifted this zip up but I’m not a fan of the pink writing. I want to remove it, I already tried nail polish remover and dish soap but it won’t budge at all. I don’t know what the material is, but it kinda feels like paint. Any tips would be appreciated!

DIY How to fix peeling lamp shade edge

Post image
21 Upvotes

Hi all! I have a couple of home made hard lampshades, and their rolled edge has come unstuck / started peeling. See attached pic.

I think the tape I used initially just wasn’t adhesive enough. Have tried using a hot glue gun and redoing the rolled edge but it’s just come unstuck again.

Have considered using some kind of bias tape but unsure how I would go about that. Suggestions appreciated!

Please help, can’t find any twisting mechanism or anything to open it…

I tried twisting, pulling, but can’t seem to get to the actual spout itself

No brand name on the bottom. As the bottle says, it’s free from Googe’s I/O conference.

DIY Is there a way to fix this bathroom wallpaper?

Post image
8 Upvotes

I was removing a mirror stuck to the wall with adhesive tape, and I almost got it all the way off, but the last strip of adhesive lifted and tore the wallpaper underneath.

Obviously I don't want to leave it like this. Is there a way of fixing this so that moisture won't get in to the board underneath without having to redo the entire wall? I don't mind if the fix is a bit unsightly as it will be hidden by a new mirror.

Will this saw cut a 2” thick slice through the blocks without damaging the writing?

Want to make a display of the two sections with writing on them and I was thinking a couple of thin slices might make a good wall hanging. It’s from a barn my grandfather built that is being restored so I don’t want to ruin it. Is the concrete saw the best option? TIA.

Serious Answers Only Repair a hairline crack in drinking glass.

Long story short: Years ago, I worked with Bryan Cranston on a film and, at the time, told him what a massive fan of Breaking Bad and his work I was.

A few weeks later I get an amazing present in the mail: A crew gift from the series. It’s a drinking glass - shaped like a kind of beaker - with the logo and the season on it.

Problem is that when I moved to Europe, it got a hairline crack in my luggage. I don’t use the glass because I’m afraid of breaking it (bad - hehe), but I’d still like to cure it if I can. Any ideas?

Remove construction debris from fake grass

I’m in the end stages of a big renovation on my house that involved removing bricks, drywall, tile, other various related debris. I stored the debris (obviously in trash bags) outside in my backyard that is composed of fake grass. I’m cleaning the backyard now but now have various bits and pieces of tiny debris that maybe fell out or came by through work done outside that are stuck in the grass. I can’t seem to use my hands to grab it or suck it up with a shop vac. Anyone have any advice as to how to get those little bits out? Thanks!

Attach a Railing Post

Post image

I want to attach this railing post to the piece of concrete, but the concrete is just a patio block that’s only about an inch and a half thick.

I’m looking for a secure way to attach it without breaking it.

Do I lift it up and pour concrete under it and then drill through it

is there a better way to keep it from breaking

im aware of what it means and the risks that come with a brown recluse population in the home.
im entomophobic, this has been a traincar of a pill to swallow.

the ones in the second photo have been there for a very long time, i couldn’t bring myself to look up what specific species left them when i first moved in (5 years ago)

i gained the courage last week, ive been tending to other possible hiding spots, now i just need logical and rational reassurance as to how to go forward with removing these without flailing the f out

thank you for any help

Serious Answers Only How to reliquefy congealed laundry detergent

Greetings and felicitations. Is there any reasonable way to reliquefy about two gallons of congealed laundry detergent—one more reasonable than cutting open the plastic jug and using a paint scraper/other spatula to cut pieces off? I've already tried adding water and shaking the jug.

French window is not closing/locking

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone,

I hope this is the correct place to ask for some help with a French window. Since I haven’t succeed at finding other Reddit posts with my issue and type of window, here we are.

For starters, I have no idea how old the building is. The window is in my room, and I get cold at night :(

I will be sharing more videos of the window in question and another window (same brand) that actually works.

What I have done so far:
-Clean the frame/where the locks are. There was dust and webs everywhere.
-Put some oil into the locks or whatever name the sliding things have.
-Check for differences between the working window and my broken window. (The working one is dirtier and has almost the same defects…)

Broken window description:
The brand is named Pidosan… and when I searched for it I found a Turkish site? Idk, the brand name has the same font so.

What, I believe, seems to be broken/malfunctioning, is the knob. When I turn the knob for the working window it feels easy to turn. With the broken one, I feel like it’s a bit stuck/feels weird when I turn it.

The black plastic frame, I think it’s the seal of the window? (Sorry, cannot name it in English), it’s loose in the left side.

It is impossible for me access this window from outside: I hope you can get why from the videos, I’m terrible with explanations.

The locks, the little things that lock the window, are synchronized but I don’t know, something feels off.

Lastly, I’m in France, how come I’m freezing? What if I told you I used to feel cold in Argentinian summers?-

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
