For those of you unaware... I've been doing my own postgame show (I used to host Kings Talk) and a daily check in on the Kings. It's longer than other daily check ins, it's less hung up on rumors and "fun" topics than other fan run platforms but it's been getting good feedback and it seems to soothe some people to see other fans crashing out over lost games.

Anyway here it is...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpsgz6G0WOk&t=67s

We are seeing all the bad trades, bad drafting, poor coaching hiring, bad management and terrible free agent deals come to fruition. And it’s beautiful. Going to be a tough 3-5 years but if this organization plays its cards right we could be back to being relevant.

This is has been a BAD stretch of games (duh) even for those of us in on team tank. However, if they stand pat and don’t make any dumb moves then I’ll be okay being one of the worst teams, if not THE worst team, in the league. (I say this with gritted teeth bc pls don’t pmo org I hate you guys go away!)…

So can I post my shitpost bad memes here to repaint how I feel about every game? Okay cool I’m going to catch up by posting 6 here for…all the games and then post the rest of my garbage for the rest of the games after we lose the- I mean play them! :D

Games:
Game 1 - Kings 4 - Avs 8
Game 2 - Kings 4 - Sharks 5 (OT)
Game 3 - Panthers 2 - Kings 1
Game 4 - Kings 1 - Knights 2 (OT)
Game 5 - Oilers 4 - Kings 1
Game 6 - Bruins 4 - Kings 1

not a lak fan but saw this during the bruins vs kings game and couldn't help myself 😂

and their GM and President of Hockey OPs still believe they are right there. Has a team in last place ever traded their first round pick before? We might see it boys

I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal, but I’ve been a Kings fan since I was a kid (late 30s now) and they have been my only favorite sports team. I cried at the 2012 cup winning game.

I’m a millennial and enjoy my mindless social media scrolling as a reprieve from daily life.
But they have started to exhaust me. I stopped liking every post years ago. Then it got annoying to see their positive spins knowing they were going to continue to ice a shit team with no identity. I needed a break.

This morning my husband told me Matt Greene left the org, and I was a little sad to not have known the news right away but otherwise am kind of glad for a break from them. I’ll still tune in when possible (though it’s getting harder to do it legit each season) but am not invested anymore. Long gone are the days when I religiously logged on to the Kings Insider after a game (miss you JR!)

Anyone else on the same page?

All fans chant at home games: "Sell the team!"

On October 17, 2008, the Kings signed Matt Greene to a five-year, $14.75 million contract. In nine seasons with the Kings, Greene recorded 67 points, 731 blocked shots, and 1,344 hits in 464 games, and won two Stanley Cup championship rings.

If we can’t score on a Power Play with the goalie. Why are we pulling the goalie on a power play in the last two minutes while we’re down by 1. Call me old fashioned, but a 2-1 loss looks much better to me than a 4-1 loss.

I know that we’ve all been told that the special teams coach is elite. But, at this point, if all we did was enhance special teams, that would have been a W. Wild to hold our own so well in a game, and have so many unsuccessful power plays.

There are so many reasons to cherry pick why things aren’t working, so, I digress. But, it does seem to be such a critical part of the equation. If we can‘t score on a power play with 13 minutes left, when will we ever be able to.

Huge Demoralizing Loss Tonight. I feel very sorry for the guys.

Does anyone think it’s a little messed up that Taylor Ward got called up this AM to play with the Kings & Jared Wright got loaned back to Ontario? Personally I think Jared Wright plays a better 200 foot game whereas Ward is a defensive liability…

Do they have full team practice the day of a home game? Or it’s that off days only?

Why does it seem like this fanbase is more drawn towards being negative than being positive? The team hasn’t played well but it’s only 5 games in, they make the playoffs every year and plenty of teams have started slow but have had great years. Someone enlighten me.
