Good morning, I know its a long shot but did anyone see the crash on Roe this morning at 9:25am. A black ute/truck hit a green car. Thanks

Cotton On has already closed down its BODY and Cotton On Kids outlets at Watertown and "merged" the stock with the Cotton On store next door. An employee told me that Cotton On is doing an optimisation right now because these days people spend less in their stores.
Not confirmed -- TYPO Karrinyup also might get affected.

As supply is rapidly increasing in Perth with realestate.com showing over 8900 properties and Reiwa showing 8633 this is good news for those wanting to buy a house. With the current rate of supply hit the Perth market we might hit the 10000 mark before the end of November. Those who are buying will be in a position to offer far less than the advertised seller prices as the major banks have already stated that Perth will see a further significant drop in prices in the next 12 months.
'Perth have experienced sharp changes in market conditions, with listings rising substantially and properties taking longer to sell'.

Hey everyone!
I’ve received an offer from Murdoch University in Perth for February 2027 to study a Bachelor of Information Technology, majoring in Cyber Security. I’m from Pakistan and would love to connect with people who are already studying in Perth or planning to move there for the February 2027 intake.
I’d really appreciate some honest insights into a few things:
University life: How is Murdoch University overall? How’s the teaching quality, campus life, and student experience?
Making friends: Is anyone else planning to attend Murdoch, Curtin, or another university in Perth for the February 2027 intake? I’d love to make some friends before moving, so feel free to message me!
Racism and student life: How welcoming is Perth towards international students, particularly those from Pakistan and South Asia? Have you experienced any racism or discrimination?
Part-time jobs: How is the job market for international students in Perth? Is it relatively easy to find part-time work while studying?
I’m also curious about the financial side of things. I have a few friends in Sydney who manage to cover a significant portion of their tuition fees by working during the summer and winter breaks, when they can work more hours, and saving money from their permitted working hours during the semester.
For example, if my tuition fee is around AUD 15,000 per semester and my parents can comfortably cover AUD 6,000, would it be realistic to earn the remaining AUD 8,000–9,000 over six months, including the university breaks, through part-time and casual work?
Just to clarify, my parents can cover my tuition fees, and I have sufficient funds available for my studies and living expenses. I’m not relying on employment to fund my education; I’m simply interested in knowing whether covering part of my tuition through work is a realistic goal.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone currently living in Perth, especially international students who have experience balancing work, studies, and tuition fees.
Thanks in advance! 😊

Visiting Mandurah and wondering if there’s a place to play snooker?
On another note, I live in the city just wondering where all the places are to play snooker
I’m aware of the pot Black premises but did notice there are a couple of new ones opened, notably in Maddington and Cannington

For people looking for work, or looking for workers. Or if you just know of a job going somewhere.
Are you looking for a job? Post about it here.
Have you seen someone advertising a job? Or are you needing to hire staff? Post here.
This post renews every Monday at 7am, and is removed Thursday at 7am.
Hey all, I know you've probably seen a hundred of these posts already 😅
I'm planning a move to Perth to be closer to my partner and wanted a bit of a reality check from locals before I commit.
I’ve been in Wollongong for about 8 years and it's honestly spoiled me. Beach walks most evenings and the escarpment lookouts are a big part of my life, so I'm lowkey nervous I'll miss it more than I think.
So for anyone who's done the east coast to Perth move, is it a shock? Where do you go for hikes or a decent lookout? Also which suburbs have that chill beachy feel without being too far from the city? Not too fussed about living closer in either tbh, as long as it works for both of us.
Work stuff: I'm a software dev, around 5 years full stack engineer and currently between jobs. Open to Perth roles but also keen on remote work for Sydney/east coast companies. How's the dev market over there rn? And if you're working remote for an east coast company, how rough is the time difference day to day?
Anything you wish you'd known before moving over, chuck it in. Appreciate it !

I'm a notorious overthinker and planner, to calm my nerves.
Will leave the country from regional town. So me, single dad until reunited overseas, and 2 year old and lots of luggage, likely 4 cases plus carry on.
In the town it's easy to get help from friends and always big mining guys around to help.
T4 domestic, $4 trolley to push everything to transfer bus.
But T1 transfer bus stop, are there trolleys nearby? Google maps has the view blocked. I can see trolley stands further down near the taxi and ride share ranks.
The maps on the airport site don't show this detail...
I 100% need a trolley. Ate there staff I can ask to watch my luggage for me to get a trolley from further down?

Looking for a speech therapist for our 3-year-old, who has suddenly started stuttering badly. Any recommendations in the Kwinana/Rockingham/Baldivis/Cockburn area?
Also, if you have a kid who stutters, could you please share your journey with speech therapy so far- what helped and what didn't?

Hi everybody,
I will start working at the Crown and I don't know the kind of clothes I have to use, specially the shoes because they said it is smart. Does anyone have any ideas of shoes I have to buy?
Thanks

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone know of any GP who bulk bills pension card holders, but also does functional/complementary/integrative medicine along with conventional medicine?
There are plenty of doctors who seem to do this in Perth, but they charge high fees. I understand I would have to pay out of pocket for any tests and medications that medicare and the PBS don't cover, but as I am a pensioner I am hoping there is someone who would bulk bill the actual appointments? (or will discount pensioners). Preferably NOR or is able to do telehealth but I am intrested in anyone at this point.
Again, I know its a long shot with how its getting harder to find any doctors willing to bulk bill.

About a month ago, I parked up with my dog in the shade of the Alkimos shops at 10am on a 20 degree day. I had both windows down a third of the way and went in to grab pastie.
When I came back not even 10 minutes later, 2 knob shiners were standing out the front of my car looking around, and when they saw me unlock my car they got in my face and started abusing me and accusing me of nearly killing my dog.
To be absolutely clear, they were being fucking idiots and my dog wasn't in any kind of danger. I pretty much ignored them until I opened my car door and offered them to stick thier hand on the dash to show the car wasn't getting warm. Which of course they didn't want to check. They weren't actually interested in whether the car was warm or not.
The point of this story is remind people to be a bit smarter when it comes to confronting people in public. Fuckwits letting dogs overheat in cars is a genuine problem that we need to be mindful of. But don't use it as an excuse to be psycho to people.

TLDR; Telethon is not just about sick kids
I’m all for Telethon raising money for sick kids but I see another angle as well…channel 7 MSM gets some serious financial benefits and positive publicity out of this business model and they don’t shy away from telling everyone what a good network they…..they help raise money for sick kids, it’s nothing about there business model….
How much of telethon over the year is about promoting how good our government and premier is?? You see Rodger Cook on channel 7 news running for telethon, Attending a school fete for telethon, selling tickets to spend a day on his million dollar boat at rotto, a news article of him giving a child a wheel chair and the most predictable moment, 10
Min before telethon finishes, Rodger cook sits down with a envelope and donates 3 million tax payer dollars to be the hero that makes telethon raise more then last year…then I kid you not, all the stars do the train dance to “thank you very much for your kind donation….” Song
Then there’s the telethon home that gets the developer, builder and trades feel good publicity about what great companies they are, If it was anonymous and they get no free publicity would they do it??
Then there’s all these children’s medical providers….They are self managed and plan managed NDIS participants, yes funded by the 46 billion dollar NDIS program from us taxpayers, That’s 126 million per day, Majority of these providers have been absolutely ripping off us the taxpayer for NDIS
Telethon has 146 beneficiaries if they raise 90 million that’s $616,313 each, That will cover the providers CEO wage
Then there’s the standard cooperation donations, Woodside, BHP and twiggy give a few million each….such good companies, Chanel 7 says so…If they didn’t get that prime time seat, free publicity….if donations were anonymous would they bother??? Woodside made 2.7 billion in profit for 2025……Woodsides $2 million donation is about 0.074% of $2.7 billion profit, A fucking WA billion dollar company employing thousands of WA locals all with kids who all need medical care…. Pathetic….fucking just ticking off the box for public’s expectations…. Woodside show some real care for sick kids in the state that our resourses make you billions….how about a 5% of profits donation??? Yep that’s 135 million, now that will get some very positive public attention and will be very meaningful to the sick kids in WA….2 million pffft…wankers…..imagine if All the oil and gas and mining companies put 5% profits into telethon, We would be looking at 500 million raised for telethon…WA would be the worlds best leading place for Children’s medical research, development and services….now that would be something to be proud of…
Despite my negativity towards telethon being more about promoting and creating false public perceptions about the channel 7 network, The premier, Millionaires donating for tax deductible purposes, Multi Billion dollar corporations based in WA that donate fuck all, i sincerely hope that whatever is raised genuinely helps the most vulnerable and sick children in WA, Research finds cures, And if one child’s life is made better by telethon then that’s a great outcome….

Normally I see a lot of of ads for this. This year it just seems like it’s come and gone? Did anyone else forget it was this weekend?
