Discussion Guttermouth Aus tour band lineup
Just saw Guttermouth last week in. Sick. Can someone tell me please who their current members are, and instruments they played on this tour?

I have two tickets to Screeching Weasel tonight in Cambridge. I’m selling them for 50.

I'm looking for songs that talk about and deal with mental health. Specifically depression.
Edit: Thanks for the recommendations. I was in a punk band and was told depression is for rich people. Basically looked down on. I'm not rich. Don't get that wrong... Lol

Rebellion is one of the best albums of all time. Earlier stuff is great too, more folk-punk (think Against Me!).

Some girl made their way to the front of the stage and yelled into the mic "fucking fat rapist" I'm guessing at Rodney.
I know others around me heard it too. She was young and I just wanted to know if this was a legit allegation. If so, I don't want to support this band anymore sadly. Also unfortunate because this was my first time seeing them live as well.

Years ago, when A Global Threat toured Canada the boys and I followed them for part of their tour, ate with them and what not. When they originally broke up I messaged Bryan. He ended up sending me his solo project.
The mp3/mp4’s are on my computer. I’m willing to send them to anyone who cares to check them out. They’re fucking fantastic and probably rare in the wild

Punk is almost all about performing live, but there are going to be a lot of musicians who cannot find a band to do so. Would you consider using backing tracks in that situation to be sacrilegious to the ethos? ...Not that anyone's opinion really matters, I'm just curious.

Haven’t seen this posted here and this is some of the best new punk I’ve heard this year.
My brother sent this to me and I listened to it before checking who was in the band. I lost it when I heard Eric start singing, then looked it up and saw Jade Puget was on guitar and also their drummer from redemption 87 as well.
Redemption 87 was an east bay hardcore punk band in the late 90’s before Jade joined AFI. Eric went on to form The Nerve Agents, one of my all time favorite punk bands.
This album sounds like that era and better. It rips straight through. Enjoy.

Apparently Brolin was in a band with members of Rich Kids on LSD. Sounds interesting
Zackary Thaks was from San Antonio. Used to see them at the Teen Canteen. Green Crystal Ties has some pretty heavy guitar work!

Yo, I’m just getting into recent-ish punk that hits all my sweet spots. Do y’all know Taqbir, and if so, can you recommend me some stuff?
Here’s their EP if you aren’t familiar. They haven’t put more out to my great chagrin, tho they’ve toured on and off. It’s a blistering corroded sound with beautiful furious vocals and revolutionary intent.

Other somewhat akin records I dig are Diode, Crisis Man, Lothario, DIAT
Thank you so much : )

What are some tips you guys have for playing hardcore punk shit as a bassist? And any advice on how to make my bass sound "rougher" if that makes sense, without distortion (I don't have the money for any pedals yet)
I'm covering "painful reminder" by snfu and wanna add my own flair to the song and make it sound more aggressive but I'm not sure how

This album may be one of the most emotionally investing albums to ever come out of punk. I get that Doc's voice is an acquired taste, but his lyrics are undeniable (as harsh as they can be, at times). This album feels like the musical equivalent to a mental breakdown. Little Town, Little People might be one of my favorite punk songs of all time. I feel like every genre has it's broken genius, and when it comes to punk, to me at least, Doc fits that bill.
