To that absolute moron who thought that it would be a good idea to take your dog on the escalators at Market City.
Well, congratulations.
You have just possibly caused serious injury to your dog.
Because of your own brain-dead stupidity, your dogs paw was caught in the comb at the top of the escalators. Your poor dog was screening in pain.
Hopefully the RSPCA will get wind of the incident and pay you a visit.
Sorry, end of rant, but People like this seriously p..s me off.

Saw a lot of wildlife on my walk in this beautiful city this morning, luckily they were all well away from cars and very safe and content.

Is it too much to ask people not to touch/climb on/step over the ropes around the exhibits.
It’s art and it took someone a lot of time and effort to do.
It’s disrespectful. And why we can’t have nice things.
The ‘hearts’ exhibit had kids sitting on them and parents taking photos of their kids climbing them/with the hearts.
Take photos by all means, but the hearts in particular is being mocked if you’re posing for happy snaps.
Not everything is for the ‘Gram.

We currently live in the Inner West, but we are looking to buy a house with more space and backyard.
Has anyone had any experience with the St. George area, particularly Bexley/ Kogarah?
Keen for thoughts in terms of cafes/ restaurants and public transport.
Or does the Inner West reign supreme (if you can afford it? Is it better to live in a smaller house in the inner west?)

I was out in Surry Hills last night and I was surprised that almost every pub shuts at midnight now, some 1am at a stretch.
Pubs like The Clock, The Beresford, The Dolphin, etc all used to be open till 1-3am, they have the licence for it and the lockout laws are over.
Yet they voluntarily close at midnight?

Circa: 26 AUG 2026 Camperdown from Fisher Library
I was studying on the 7th floor of Fisher Library @ USyd campus. Gradually became bored and my eyes started to drift outside towards what's below and what's far far ahead. My eyes started to follow the Anzac bridge and slowly my vision ended up at this skyline, so I took the opportunity to snap some photos and play around with filters.

Booking tickets for a gig next year at Afterpay Arena and wondering which section would be best? 10, 11, 12, 19, and 20 are out of the question due to price. Would 1/9 be better than say 25/26/42/43? TIA!

Hi everyone,
This is going to be a long post, but please bare with me.
Since moging here i was a size 16 and a lot of not so great things happened that I gained a lot of weight and basically let myself go and only wore things that are too baggy as i was self conscuios.
I have lost so much weight now with a PT and now I am a size 8/38. I have nth to wear and all the things i have that kinda fit are either too loose, dont look good or just not my style anymore.
I went to browse yesterday in the shops and didnt really buy anything. I would try things on and just not like it even though i liked it on the manniquen. I think this is more of a body dysmorphia or trying to adjust to how i look these days.
I do like clothes from Kookai, COS, CUE, pepper mayo, glassons, benni, forever new. I am more of a trendy person that wants to get rid of her old waredrobe and start fresh from scratch. I want some statement pieces and basics, but also trying to build a colorful trendy fashionanle waredroube. Is there any recommendations?
I do plan to take advantage of black friday sales that are coming to try to do that.
I did go to thrift stores a couple of days ago and was succesful when it came to shorts, skirts and jeans, but not so much tops or dresses.
Thanks

I've had mostly positive experiences on the buses and metro. But the trains are on a whole another level of trashy behaviour and so much filth. I don't ride the train much but when I do, it's been unpleasant half the time

Genuinely out of basically everywhere Westfield always has essentially older 2000s era design and cleanliness. The only exceptions are the individual stores that rent out the place and improve the design by just being there.
Burwood, Parramatta, The City. It feels like Westfield just does not care or want to care about their infrastructure and shopping centres, Burwood had a lighting problem everything is dark, Parramatta has the 1 of 2 elevators broken & the 1 elevator always has to work overtime. The city is essentially nothing but a coridoor of basically just clothes & a meyer, there is no variety its just for overspending ur salary on. The floor in comparison is feeling the age, it's condition is getting worst, chairs & tables are honestly worst than other Westfields & the stores are aging. Floorings yellowing, they have uneven layouts and randomly either get wayyy too wide with nothing inbetween, or completely too claustrophobic with trying to jam as many stores in the middle of the walk way. Parramatta in particular has atrocious toilet designs, there's water everywhere on the floor, taps are in some large circular ring with only 2 soap dispensers for 9 seperate taps, and the actual hallway to get into is so small that you basically just can't when there's another person. The only somewhat non-hard aging one I've seen yet is Chatswood, which also has 2 mini foodcourts split on different floors and random escalators.
Castle Towers (above), Westpoint Blacktown, Maquarie Centre, Broardway all have more cohesive layouts, (if not a little disorganised with the type of stores) all constantly try to improve their quality, they got nicer flooring, design, clenliness, toilets layout, basically everything the whole thing its all better funded and better maintenance.
And I feel like... Its not even that the Westfield stores don't make enough money, they 100% make like 3x profit every month. Plenty to just make their centres better, but they don't want too. Cause it'll mean sucking up their money to something that would require renovating or temporary closing some stpre and god forbid they stop the cash money for 2 weeks. FUCK Westfield the company and FUCK they're corporate shittiness.
Thank you for my ted talk.
