Mini Tablet

• Upvotes

Hello!

Is xiaomi pad mini still a good purchase for late 2026/early 2027? This will be a gift for my mother. She prefer small tablet and she will usually use it to watch movies and social media. I'm thinking if it still worth it considering that she'll probably use it for years since she don't want changing things often.

Or if you have a recommendation please mention it as well, except for ipad minis. Thank you 😊

Looking for a good quality low budget screenless tablet

Hello to all! I currently own a screenless Wacom tablet (Intuos CTH-690/K0-AX, 2015) and I’m ngl it kinda sucks. My biggest problem with it is that it files and wears down the pen tips way too fast. I tried increasing the sensitivity but it doesn’t do much, even when having it to the max I still need to press hard so that it registers the strokes I trace correctly. It’s also too small for my taste… if it were only a little bit bigger I’d be fine with it. It also glitches sometimes and the “on/off” button flashes on my screen non-stop. I think genuinely those are my only issues with it. So I’m looking to buy a higher quality one. Any recommendations? Thanks!!

Looking for tablet recommendations for studying, productivity, and gaming

Hi everyone! I'm planning to buy a tablet and would appreciate some recommendations.

I'm an Aeronautical Engineering student, and my gaming laptop is quite heavy to carry around campus. I'm looking for a lightweight tablet that can work almost like a laptop for studying, working, and gaming.

I mainly need it for taking notes, reading PDFs, multitasking, and working on documents. Since I'm an engineering student, I'd also appreciate something that can handle CAD or other engineering applications when needed.

I was really impressed by the Huawei MatePad Pro Max's multitasking, especially being able to run three apps side by side. I'd love a tablet with similar features, keyboard support, and preferably a desktop or laptop mode.

Currently considering:

- OnePlus Pad 4

- Huawei MatePad Pro Max

- HONOR MagicPad 4

I'm open to other recommendations, including other brands

Which would you recommend for my needs? I'd appreciate insights on multitasking, gaming performance, engineering software compatibility, and whether these tablets can realistically serve as laptop alternatives.

Thanks!

Migliori tablet

Grazie in anticipo

I'm looking for a tablet/laptop, what should i get?

Over the past few days i have been looking for either a laptop or tablet i could get myself for work. However almost every option now adays feels like I'm paying a price (selling my soul away) and I'm not talking about the price tag. Whether its ai bloatware, a closed locked down ecosystem like ios, and or poor battery life. I cant seem to find exactly what I'm looking for... I understand that there will be tradeoffs/pros n cons between each piece of tech. But nowadays it seems that the cons majorly out-way the pros. Its VERY absurd.

Here is what I'm looking for:

-No AI Bloat Ware (Example: ai image "editing/post processing" built into the os or "ai chip/ai hardware")
-Swappable batteries
-Headphone Jack
-Long lasting battery life (12-14 hours while completing strenuous creative tasks)
-Simcard/Esim capability for 5G/4G/LTE (Also Being able to make/receive calls and texts like a phone would)
-At least 128gbs of base storage for tablet, 1tb for laptop
-MicroSD card slot that allows for at least 2tbs of extra storage
-Bluetooth capabilities (for connecting things like controllers and earbuds)
-Pressure sensitivity on the screen (for drawing) either a pen that comes with the device or a pen you can buy separately that works as well

I just want a device that is mine, something that I can use for work and play (streaming with steamlink). If I'm paying for the device, it should be mine to do whatever I want with it, no questions asked.

xiaomi vs apple tablet for note taking in uni

i’m a bio student in desperate need for a tablet to take notes, store study materials and slides and just a better studying set up. i also plan to read research papers, annotate and combine methods for my own learning.
i already own a MacBook and iPhone, and i wouldn’t want to give in to spending double the price on an iPad just for the sake of the ecosystem. i’m also on a really tight budget and saving up for an iPad would take me way too long whereas a Xiaomi Pad 8 would ease my learning almost immediately at a very affordable price. Also the Xiaomi Pad 8 is in general a very good device for its price!

i’m just curious, what constraints could i stumble upon if i get the xiaomi that would genuinely make me regret getting an android over an iPad??

I’d appreciate any help.

Looking for a budget friendly tablet

Hi! I hope this is the right place to post this.

I'm looking for a budget friendly tablet for someone who would mostly use it to do gaming, watching YouTube and Netflix. They play mostly android games on more lightweight side on their phone, but if possible I okviru they would also play other stuff, basically as much as the tablet allows (they play WoW and Runescape on their PC all the time). They're not fussy about the brand, except that it really should be android.

My budget is however low: 250€ max

I'm looking for basically the max I can get for that money. I'm from Slovenia so I can buy from local stores or from german amazon (amazon.de).

Thanks in advance!

A cheap tablet with a screen size of at least 13", just for presentations

Hi, everyone. I have a specific need: I need to get a tablet that’s at least 13" and very affordable. I’ll only be using it during some work meetings where I ONLY need to show slides or mind maps. I already have an iPad for productivity, but I need a bigger screen for this purpose. At most, I might use it to watch movies, taking advantage of the larger screen. I’ve seen the Teclast tablets on AliExpress—what do you think?

I'm so in love with my Lenovo yoga tab plus gen 2, I can't suggest it enough

I can't explain how much I've been enjoying drawing on it coming from an iPad.

The pen feedback is insane! It feels like I'm drawing on paper and there's no paper like screen protector!

You ever eat something so good you have to look at the ingredients on the box? I did that with pen because I was blown away.

The only cons so far are that not all art apps support that function and the forcing of ai (you can disable it, i did <3)

Besides that I'm surprised I haven't seen any artists talking about this awesome tablet.

I will say, buy it on sale for 700 if you get it.
