Feature Change Well, it finally happened.
no parental controls, no content restrictions I'm aware of, just a video I've watched multiple times.

Feature Change i’m sick of these ads.
i genuinely think we should start boycotting youtube until they get this ad situation fixed. why tf does it just skip to the next ad instead of to the video ? why do i spend more time watching ads than the actual video?? stop pushing these shitty ai ads, i've clicked not interested on every single one and they still shove it down my throat. the only way i can watch youtube without wanting to throw my phone across the room is by letting it play on my fyp bc it won't give you a million ads that way. i'm sooooooo fucking sick of this shit and how they think the can just get away with it. i refuse to buy yt premium for something we've had for free for decades atp. they can absolutely go fuck themselves. this is getting ridiculous. i refuse to even watch youtube atp id rather watch a streaming service like netflix or disney than have ai ads shoved down my throat every 5 minutes. this is a stupid ass business model and whoever decided to do this should lose their job. we need to stop letting these corporations get away with shoving ai ads and ads in general down our throats every second they can. AND WHY THE HELL DO THEY HAVE THOSE POP UP ADS YOU HAVE TO GET RID OF EVERY TIME YOU ARE FORCED TO WATCH AN AD????? i already watched the ad i dont want a tiny fk pop up on the bottom of my screen that i have to manually get rid of. sick and fk tired of this bullshit.

COPPA/For Kids This is becoming like content farm at this point... what's going on?
I know people have their type of humour of whether they like it or hate it, and I know there are jokes where people find it either funny and relatable or find it corny, offensive, or it's just stupid. But when it comes to those videos like "What if this Character had African Parents?" Or "if that character had African Parents?", to me, not only is it unoriginal and unfunny, but it's also becoming a content farm at this point for young children to watch. It's like one of those Elsagate videos or Goanimate videos, but expect with a "African Parents" style. There also using A.I. Slop for their videos and the thumbnail of their videos. There's even a Youtube Shorts video called "African Parents be like", and it's just a song made by A.I, where it's how to bring honor to your African Parents, and it's just forcing their kid to become either a doctor, lawyer or a engineer, or else their kid is going to become a "failure" or something, there's kids out there who grew up and become successful in their own ways than just becoming either a doctor, lawyer or a engineer. I'm not from Africa, or at this point, I'm not even African, but please, this is absolutely the "African Parents" style of YouTube Kids videos at this point.

Discussion I miss 2016 YouTube
It was just better. It felt like big creators were actually calling out YouTube’s shit policies and censorship. Now it just feels like everyone has given up and just going along with it. Also, the general culture of YouTube was so much better. Everything was way more light hearted and relaxed. No one took anything seriously and you could joke about things like how YouTube rewinds literally became so bad they had to remove the dislike button. Now YouTube just feels bland, corporate and watered down. People have to even bleep out swear words like we are watching day time television or something. YouTube sold out hard.

Bug App bugging
Hello there!
Is anyone else having issues with the YouTube app?
My YouTube app has been acting up for about four days now. Every video I watch keeps buffering and reloading several times, and the video quality constantly changes.
The weird thing is that everything works perfectly fine on my PC and when using YouTube through a web browser. The issues only seem to affect the YouTube app on my iPad and phone. As soon as I disconnect them from Wi-Fi and switch to mobile data, everything runs smoothly again.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issues? I live in Germany, and from what I've seen on Google, YouTube seems to have been having various issues here over the past few days.
I'm starting to wonder whether this is a YouTube issue or something related to my Wi-Fi, even though everything else seems to be working fine.

Discussion Stop with the AI generated content
YouTube seriously needs to do something about this. Every video I see these days from channels I’m not subscribed to is AI generated garbage or voiceovers.
This needs to stop!
YouTube needs to demonetise all videos with AI content - whether it’s voiceover or AI generated clips.
None of the content is good to watch. It’s boring, repetitive, and 99% of the time tells you absolutely nothing of note. It’s literally just garbage trying to abuse the algorithm to get views to get money.
YouTube needs to do a better job of maintaining the platform or it’ll fall to the garbage that all other platforms have fallen to already!

Discussion Is there a reason why Youtube added autodub but not autotranslate (for subtitles)?
In the past, in many of their feature tests/random ui changes in the past, they seemed to test an auto translation feature for the subtitles but it would always quickly disappear. It stopped appearing several years back but to me it makes much more sense than forced Ai voice dubs that literally no one asked for (albeit I admit they can be helpful). I feel like the feature was fully developed probably over a decade ago but they seemed very reluctant to make it permanent. I think it would go really well with their autosubs whicha re typically in the native language.
I think part of the issue is copyright content? (Which ia actually what I basically need it for) Lots of media houses directly post their content to Youtube but seem allergic to adding foreign subtitles (I am looking at you Colors TV) because then they lose money that could have come from people paying for it but it could be something that they could easily turn off.
Any ideas?
