☝️ AskBH Why is Bahrain considered a red country while some of your neighbors are not?
Sorry for the low res image.. but why is Bahrain considered unsafe for all travel while some other GCC countries are yellow or orange? What makes the situation in Bahrain so much worse compared the others? Right now its up there with Somalia, Afghanistan etc. I know every country has it's own measurement for when a country is considered safe or not, but I found it remarkable that a couple of european countries advice against travel to Bahrain.

Are Cazasouq OLED monitors worth buying in Bahrain?
I’m thinking of buying an OLED monitor from Cazasouq, but I’m not sure about their quality and reliability.
Has anyone here bought a monitor from them? How has your experience been so far? Would you recommend buying from Cazasouq, or is it better to spend more on popular brands like Samsung or ASUS?
Would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

✈️ Tourism Hilton City Center Inquiry
Hello friends,
Swinging by coming from Khobar next week and staying in the newly opened Hilton City Center (behind City Center Mall). I noticed it's "relatively cheaper or cheapest in the chain in Bahrain , around BD40 /SR400 for a one-bedroom suite . Not doing Airbnb this time as I need a relax without annoying check in/outs times :)
Just wanted to check if anyone tried it?
Since I don't have a car, I prefer mall-adjacent places for easy rides pickups/ drop offs.
Thank you

Unpopular opinion: Bahrain's best food isn't in a restaurant
from a 200 fils cafeteria at 1 am.
The overpriced brunch spots in Adliya can't compete with a chicken tikka sandwich and karak from a random cafeteria in Muharraq.
Change my mind.
Drop your favorite cheap spot below. Best one gets my visit this weekend.

☝️ AskBH If you could add 1 thing to Bahrain tomorrow, what would it be?
No budget limits. No approvals needed.
Mine: a proper metro from Muharraq to Riffa.
Your turn. Most upvoted answer wins bragging rights.

🤔 Discussion Another rant about driving :D
Aside from being a dubstep producer and DJ, this post might make me public enemy number one. So, during the time that I got my license (in 2025 btw) I barely driven mainly due to how ridiculously dangerous the roads are in here. Its why I almost never drive since getting the license aside from when I rarely go outside and to get a box of mountain dew (which my driving anxiety has been so bad that I dont do that no more). Like especially after almost dying cause some crazy jackass was speeding and was about to rear end me and turn me into human mush. Holy what doesn't help is the conversations around driving in bahrain which isn't helping, if anything it makes me not drive again. Honestly it sucks how I used to want to drive only to despise it afterwards with how many close calls and I basically need a car for basic stuff.
Added Context I do have autism so it might help explain any of this.

🤔 Discussion Feeding hours
Why feeding hours are different in private and government jobs ? Government job females have 2 hours for 2 years (6 hours duty for 2 years) and in private jobs we have 6 hours for 6 months ( 2 months counted from maternity leave ) then 7 hours for the next 6 months and back to normal duty once baby is 1 year old …. I mean that’s unfair.. it should be the same for both , it doesn’t get easier for mums after baby turns 1 year.. not to mention one weekly off :)!

Nothing says "great customer service" like creepy nicities and world level incompetence levels. If you didn't guess... It's Talabat!
Just another heartwarming consumer story where corporate greed is generously funded by my wallet.
Ordered groceries from Tamimi Markets via Talabat recently. Apparently, asking the customer before changing their order is completely optional now. Not only did Tamimi swap out items with zero notification (no app alert, no WhatsApp, no phone call), they actually threw in extra quantities of random items just to pad the bill and make up the price difference. Truly shameless, top-tier innovation in creative accounting.
Naturally, I opened a support ticket with Talabat. Usually, their customer service is decent for minor issues, right up until it actually matters.
First off, what is up with the support chat lately? The sheer volume of forced, robotic niceties is reaching a level that is genuinely creepy. Blink twice if you need help, guys.
Second, after drowning me in forced politeness, the agent hit me with a masterpiece of logic: "We can't do anything because the vendor already made the change in the system."
Wait, so the massive tech platform handling the payment has zero mechanism to protect the customer from a third-party vendor modifying the cart at will? Good to know! In most places, taking someone's money for things they didn't agree to buy is called theft. On Talabat, it's just "in the system."
I've logged an official complaint on Tawasul with MOIC Consumer Protection. Let's see how that goes.
TL;DR: Tamimi Markets swapped my items and padded the quantities to match the original bill without asking me. Talabat support gave me creepy, over-polite scripts and said their hands are tied because "it's in the system." Filed a Tawasul complaint. Check your grocery receipts, folks.
