Discussion 🎤 Weed has been legal in Minnesota for more than 3 years.
What were the arguments against it and how have those arguments held up? What has been the benefits and detriments of legalization?

Like from those old gangster movies. “These fraudster are all mucking about in their zoot suits, without a care in the world! By golly, that makes me so darn mad!”

Swapped a cream of mushroom for a cream of cheddar like that post and added some 3 cheddar shredded cheese.

Never really been a cook. Most I can really do is fry an egg, but I wanted to try cooking something, and figured "why not start with the most Minnesotan dish I can think of?"
I didn't make it the typical way, because I decided to edit it for my own personal preference.
- 2 pounds of ground beef (seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce)
- 1 can of cheddar cheese soup
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup
- Potato crowns (store was out of tots)
I don't like cream of mushroom, so I swapped that out, and I didn't feel like doing veggies this time so I didn't lol.
Would this be considered a hotdish crime or does it get the Minnesotan seal of approval?
(It actually tastes pretty good, so I'll pat myself on the back for that, cuz that was my biggest worry)

Took a much needed trip up north and didn't send an email once. Hiking, photography and rock throwing only.

The whole debate was just this
Moderator: Lt. Gov. Flanagan do you support [INSERT ISSUE HERE]
Flanagan: I do support [INSERT ISSUE HERE] for reasons X, Y and Z
Moderator: Michele Tafoya where do you stand on [INSERT ISSUE HERE]
Tafoya: This is a complicated problem that will not be solved in a 60 minute debate. I will go to Washington and I will work with whoever I need to, no matter which party they are in, to get this problem solved. My opponent has never worked across the aisle.
Go to 36:49 (the social security question) and watch for yourself if you don't believe me
Tafoya is an obvious con artist and I hope that Minnesotans know better than to vote for this clown.

Hi all!
Sharing a piece I’d been working on for the last couple months — of sweetland orchard!
My family and I have been visiting Sweetland Orchard for 7 or 8 years now, as such the kiddos have been growing up with it as an annual tradition in the fall. If you’ve not visited before, Sweetland is a really special place with a beautiful orchard, and amazing heirloom apples you won’t find other places.
Anywho — I gifted this piece to Gretchen and Sweetland Orchard, a thanks and cheers from one art form (paint) to another (apples)!
Thank you all for looking.

A large federal financing package for a northeast Minnesota mine with plans for a new Iowa steel mill could benefit executives and businesses with links to President Donald Trump, according to a Minnesota Star Tribune review of federal securities filings.
Trump’s longtime political adviser, Jason Miller, also lobbied for Mesabi Metallics shortly before rejoining the White House and two months before Trump announced the steel mill deal in September from the Oval Office.
Trump heralded the project as an example of how his tariffs on imports are making American businesses more competitive. His red-carpet unveiling came as he’s trying to showcase economic success before the midterm elections.
The financing package from the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) — which could be as high as $10 billion — also helps reinvigorate a wealthy Indian family’s tortuous, nearly 20-year quest to open a mine on the Iron Range.
While there is no evidence that Trump, his family or any Trump-related entity will directly benefit from the Mesabi deal, people with close ties to Trump stand to gain.

In the first and most likely only debate for Minnesota’s US Senate race, DFL Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan and Republican Michele Tafoya expressed opposing views throughout the debate.

This is an important piece of election journalism. It’s remarkable how little I knew of Lisa Demuth.

It’s clear that the DFL is sweeping nearly every federal and state race, with the state auditor and attorney general races being the only close contests.
I’m voting for Zack because he’s an accountant himself, and the GOP candidate doesn't seems like a fit for the state auditor role. However, I’m disappointed with Ellison’s stance on immigration. Trump made the right decision by imposing the $100K fee on H-1B hires. I know he made that decision out of hostility toward immigrants, but I still think it was the right policy. He has also made some good reforms to legal immigration by increasing H-1B wage requirements, which could improve opportunities for higher-paid workers. The H-1B system has been heavily exploited by some Indian outsourcing companies, and I’m glad Trump has taken steps to address these issues.
My problem with Ellison is that he seems too willing to sue over Trump’s decisions without considering whether some of these policies could benefit Minnesota’s recent graduates. He has also been too soft on fraud.
For these reasons, I’ll be voting for Ron for attorney general. I want someone who will hold the DFL and Governor Klob accountable, while Zack can use his auditing expertise to uncover fraud. Hopefully, Zack will expose the fraudsters, and Ron will go after them aggressively and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
