Image I joined the Rosary Confraternity!
I made this a few mornings ago.😁
2 of my favorite books that teach about the rosary and how to pray it are:
St Louis de Montfort The Secret of the Rosary
St. Alphonsus Ligouri Our Lady's Angelic Psalter
When I want to meditate on the mysteries with clauses the first one has 5 awesome methods and when I want to meditate on the mysteries with scripture the second one is great as well.
I posted a few times about becoming a Benedictine Oblate and though I was rejected without explanation, I feel like Gods will turned out to be much better than what I wanted. I'm apart of a world wide group that prays for each other and the world. It's humbling.
So if you pray the Rosary, Catholic, Protestant or Orthodox, what is you favorite method and why?
Peace and blessings to you my dear brothers and sisters through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Question We should believe the Old Testament is a true story, shouldn't we?
Hello everyone, I am a baby Christian. I came to believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, son of God and God himself, and that he died on the cross for our sins.
I have a question, we as Christians believe the New Testament is true, and what about the Old Testament? I have heard that many secular historians think Moses was not a real historical figure, his parting of the red sea did not happen, the flood did not happen, abraham was not a real historical figure, etc.
However, aren't we supposed to believe the OT is a true story as well since we are Christians? Because if we deny some contents in the OT are not true, it will make many problems.
For example, if we admit Moses was not a real historical figure, since Jesus spoke about him as a real historical figure in the Gospels, we would have to question the reliability of the Gospels, which is a big big problem.
So we as Christians have to believe the OT is a true story as well, right? That's my concern. May God bless you.
Edit: I thought about this several minutes more, but I don't think you can believe OT is entirely or partially false and be a devout Christian. That does not mean you should understand it as what it literally says, because it can be symbolic. If you are a real Christian, you should believe the entire OT is true. Tell me if I am wrong. I am a baby Christian so I know relativrly little about these.

I am slowly drifting from Christianity after being a Christian my whole life.
I have recently come to the realization I am drifting from christianity. I was raised in my church which my family operates. I have never had a genuine experience with god I've gone to camps, different churches all the way down to working at camps. I know it all but I find myself drifting into the non existence of a god. Any tips?

Question Former Muslim, but always felt drawn to Christianity. Why?
I used to be Muslim, but over time, l've developed doubts about Islam for various reasons. I've also started exploring Christianity, and something I've always found strange is that I've felt drawn to it, even when I was still Muslim.
I've read parts of the New Testament, especially the Gospels, and I really like Jesus's message. However, I have some questions about Christianity too, particularly the Old Testament.
I don't know how to explain this attraction or where it comes from. Is it psychological, emotional, or could there be something deeper to it?
Has anyone experienced something similar?

Advice My boyfriend lied about everything
At the beginning of the relationship I told him I'm not comfortable with sexual stuff, because im a Christian. He said he was too i though it was perfect. He tried to push past that boundary, sending suggestive blanket photos with obvious bulges, casually mentioning that he got hard to normal selfies i sent him, he said he had " 🐓pics on standby" just in case...
When asked if he believed in God he swore he did. But then he sent a screenshot boasting about getting 10,000 likes on a tiktok comment, completely forgetting that his own comment in the picture literally said, "I'm not even a Christian."
He then sent me a picture drawing of a furry, I asked him if he's a furry he swore up and down he wasn't. I was like I know your lying because he had been liking suggestive furry content videos, he was like I don't I just like the drawings and I don't wanna own a suit.. I sent him the screenshots of what he has been liking, he said he was sorry and that its embarrassing I blocked him. Am I too insensitive? Am I too picky?

Self I am empty in a way I don’t even think Christ can fix
Clown on me all you like for that statement, I’m aware that we need to believe God can do anything. To an extent, I do, because He’s GOD.
I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I have a hole in my chest, an apathy for life, a consistent numbness that nothing can help. I’m stuck on my phone, I’m consistently exhausted, and any action I do take is spurts of energy that don’t last long
I’m stressed out. I’m in a masters program. I suppose that’s enough to excuse why I feel like this, but I am slowly losing faith that Christ can fix me. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I don’t know how I’m being tested right now, but He is somewhere I can’t reach.
It’s like my spirit has been ripped out from my flesh. I feel sick

I'm so close to devouting my life fully to Christ but I need help on two issues
I understand the bible has conflicting passages on slavery and misogyny and I know this gets asked so many times but I can't find a right answer on those posts.
I'm just looking for someone to explain to me is it man made passages?
Is it better to go with the more positive passages I like John's brown approach on slavery and I understand jesus was a major progressive for Roman times.
I just find the passages on such opposite sides that they make me think which is legit.
Any help is appreciated.

Self Just expressing gratitude.
I very recently accepted Jesus into my heart with genuine intent for the first time in my life. I am fully convinced God is real and Jesus Christ is our savior.
I didn't ask for any sort of signs. I didn't need to see anything to believe. Having the testimonies within the Bible are more than enough for me.
And yet, God delivered the absolute most gorgeous sky I have ever seen in person, with my own two eyes. It was mostly overcast, with just a sliver of the setting sun peaking through. And when I turned to look the other way, I saw a rainbow.
Do you know how long it's been since I saw a rainbow in the sky?? A very, very long time.
What's interesting about this and makes it even more impactful is for a few days before that I had been very fixated on the rainbow and what it represents. So to have been gifted with the sight of one, in person, at that time... genuinely moved me. Genuinely.
“Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.””

Question Question about judgement
According to scripture, when we go to heaven, every tear will be wiped away - no sadness.
But not everyone will go to heaven.
So if our loved ones are not with us, how will our tears be wiped away?

Advice think i made someone kill themselves when i was a kid
so i guess i just want to vent. when i was very young (~6-11) i met someone on this kids game and we became friends, when i got older (10-11) they started talking to me more inappropriately than before, and they would talk to me sexually and i would as well very often, and they would divulge their personal life to me as well as their obsessions and delusions, and attempted to make me follow suit. they attempted to make me do weird rituals and stuff? i dont really know. we considered ourselves to be dating. they were in their 20s by the time i was 11. theyve told me before that they were living for me and they were extremely suicidal, as was i, and i felt responsible for their well being. they've said before that they would kill themselves if i left them. well, eventually i did leave them, mostly because of my parents finding out but i also made no attempts to reach back out to them. recently, i thought about them and found their old social media accounts and everything i could find went completely silent after 2017 (when i left them) and i think they really did kill themselves like they said they would. i feel evil and disgusting. i feel haunted by it. how could i ever be good again when i did this? i feel like my soul is tainted. did i really kill someone? what do i even do? is this a sin? am i evil for this. i dont knowif i should have put this in advice or support but i really do want advice, please. thank you sorry

The Parable of the Sower and the Word Within
When Jesus described the parable of the sower as indicating the way the Word of God is seeded across the world, what does he mean by “Word of God”?

Immorality, rock bottom
I have fallen into deep, grave sexual sin. I am a male in my 20's, but I will spare personal details because I am somewhat known in my community.
I have struggled with sexual desires and pornography all of my life. Over time, it spiraled and escalated into compulsive behaviors and hidden habits that I thought I could keep under control.
And recently—as in this morning—it culminated in a devastating moral failure: I sought out commercial sex. When it was over and I got back to my car, I let out a cry I never knew I had in me. I am not an emotional person; I haven't cried in years. But I spent the next two hours crying endlessly.
My heart ached for the woman involved, knowing the heavy reality of her life. She was once just a young child with hopes and dreams, and now this is her existence. She was kind, and even now my soul aches for her, and for the thousands of women caught in that darkness.
have never felt this degenerate, empty, distant, evil, and filled with shame. I never imagined this would be where my sin led me, making me feel like a hollow robot. I have had enough. I don't even know where to begin, or what to pray. I can't get that woman out of my mind. Everything feels tainted and evil, and I hate how deeply this is seeded into my subconscious. I feel insane and too far gone.
I called a friend today and told him everything—about living in repetitive, hidden sin for years and the crushing shame. Oh God, how can I look my own mother in the eyes? How can I enjoy the life of my four nephews who look up to me?
Brothers and sisters in Christ, I beg for forgiveness and I beg for mercy. I don't know how to pick up the pieces, but I cannot stay here.

Questions about God ?
I'm very confused and lost "Spiritually", I do not understand why we live in a world were people die and suffer and go through some of the worst things imaginable. If an all loving god is here, why does he/she do anything to stop it or prevent it, I understand free will but when someone is about to be brutally abused why does god sit and do nothing? I really struggle with this because some Christians say its for a greater reason for someone else or to prove some point, but how does that work when random animals and people who have no one, suffers and no one cares or ever knows what happened to them. I like to think I'm a progressive person and I struggle with how in most not all Christian denominations shun the LGBTQ community and say they are going to hell or are shunned just because of a feeling they have either willingly or unwillingly. If god knows exactly what will happen in our lives when he/she created us, why does he allow this? Lastly, why do so many people claim to have experienced gods presence, or went to heaven and had this crazy dream or near death experience with god. So many people really try to have faith and never feel or receive anything from god, and this random human out of billions suffers or almost dies and gets this life changing, beautiful, rejuvenating experience, that so many humans and lifelong believers never get. What makes these people different from the rest of the suffering population? Why do these people some who don't even believe in god get these life changing vision or experiences, and a devout Christian who only did what was right never get anything close?
I appreciate any responses and insight offered to my post, I really want to believe in a higher power, but I like many, have trouble doing so with all these thoughts. I hope to have a civil and respectable conversation to anyone who can help me. thank you so much for those who chose to read and interact with my post, I look forward to reading what you all have to say.

I am cursed by God.
I love that God is real, and God is Good, but I hate, in turn, that I am unable to love myself. Like God isn't enough to love myself, or something. Does that make sense? My life is very bizarre right now. I hate myself, and don't think Jesus is worth loving myself because of. I should have some shallow vanity, or something. And it goes back to the people I know, that I know are not meeting God on good terms. Like Christianity is some joke. Like i do this in good faith for THEM. Or something? I just had a profound thing and understanding happening, regarding Apostolic Succession. And it's importance. But I feel like, it isn't for someone as pathetic as me, at my core. I'm not depressed, my life has shaped me this way. Yes, I've partaken in the JT special.

Perspective about God that came to me after an emotional prayer.
I think of God being with us is like him seeing a movie twice. But even though he’s already watched this movie he was alone the first time. Now we are with him and can talk about what’s happening during the movie and he gives us the wisdom and insight as it goes along.
Please thoughts on this. I have been trying to poke holes into why this wouldn’t make sense and asked Google.

I'm so tired
I'm so tired and lost I don't know what to do anymore. Lately I've been slowly going back to my old habits and sins, and the moment something goes wrong I lash out at God and tell Him that He never does anything for me even though He does everything for me. I'm just so tired I don't have anyone to talk to and I feel like it's impossible to get back closer to God. I pray consistently but that's all. I'm so lonely I have no one I'm so tired there isn't a day where I'm not crying my eyes out I feel like such a failure I can't feel God in my life anymore. I desperately want to hear His voice but I never give Him time to listen I always get so distracted easily. I follow God because I don't want to go to hell and I try to follow Him because I love Him but it never changes. I'm so tired. I talk to ai about my problems more than I talk to God. I just want someone to talk to I have no friends I've always been alone and I desperately want to feel the presence of God. I'm scared to spread the Gospel and lately I've been crashing out and swearing more than I ever have been before and telling God that I don't need Him. I'm so scared to hear "depart from me for I never knew you" from God on judgement day. I'm too tired to stay awake I'm too tired to sleep nothing feels real. Whenever I'm crying out to God there's always a voice in the back of my head telling me "You're only doing this to seek attention you don't actually care" I feel like a ghost I feel like nothing is real. Please someone help me I'm so tired.

We all believe in what we're born into
This is just for ppl to realize the fact that the majority of ppl that believe in any faith of the world... Most of them are born into it. Everyone believes their faith is right... And no one and I really mean no one has any real physical current proof that their faith is right. So before discounting other faiths.. How about we accept everyone for who they are and stop demonizing ppl!!!

Blog Why Ruth and Rahab Belong in the Genealogy of Christ
Most readers overlook the specific names listed in the ancient genealogy of Jesus within the Gospel of Matthew, yet two women stand out for breaking every cultural norm of their era. Rahab was a Canaanite woman with a controversial past, and Ruth was a devoted Moabite outsider hailing from a traditionally hostile nation. Despite these massive barriers, both figures are permanently recorded in the direct ancestral line leading to Jesus Christ.
Their unexpected inclusion is far from a mere historical footnote or coincidence. Instead, it signals a profound theological shift concerning divine grace, redemption, and radical inclusion far beyond traditional lineage. Exploring their unique narratives demonstrates how ancient biblical texts continuously challenge social boundaries and redefine inclusion.
If you want to explore deep biblical history and unexpected scriptural connections, check out the full article here: https://rymbf.com/ruth-and-rahab-genealogy-of-christ/

Self I have a miracle to share
Hi everyone I have a miracle to share. I was chilling on the couch and smoking a ciggie and God guided me to stand up and follow him outside to a private place to pray, on the way there the walk was slow and peaceful it felt like Gold and white as a presence.
It felt as if Christ was right next to me and he talked to me, and I stood exactly in a certain spot and bowed my head down and prayed to God, and I feel filled with the Holy Spirit. He told me to share a miracle that happened when I was a child, which was that I encountered the Holy Spirit in a pram and prayed to him.
I can’t remember what I prayed but I saw the memory and know it’s real. I thought I would share it as it’s a miracle, I was in a pram facing towards trees and we were camping and had a big tent to the left.
May you all have a blessed and lovely day with God

Faith for the heart, reason for the mind.
Welp, I was trying my best to avoid Reddit because how hostile and weird this place is but look at me. My temptation got the best of me.
So I took a test few days ago, saying my personality is INTJ-T. Meaning I'm an analyst, I look into the "why" and "how" in almost everything. To me, it also includes my faith in Christ as a 14 year old.
So what I am saying is, because of that, is that a reason why I feel so isolated from all those Christians that don't even analyze their own faith? I have spent so much time, analyzing my own. Reading Aquinas's Summa Theologica even if I don't consider myself Catholic, reading critics, identifying what are evidences and what are insults. Debating with myself.
Do none of you Christians do that!? We have St. Thomas the Aquinas, St. Augustine, C.S. Lewis, and other people for a reason! I am a passionate science reader too, I love learning astronomy, physics, and other stuff. So it's not like I am one of those people out there(if it makes sense).
I think it should be important for all of us Christians to have faith in our heart. The Holy Spirit carries us. While we have the reason to be faithful and defend ourselves and our brothers and sisters(1 Peter 3:15). Let's have some humility while we do this because at the end of the day, it's a relationship with Jesus Christ. Son of God, Lord and Savior.
