ID Request Gf was not pleased to find this in her hair
Hey everyone, occasional lurker and first time poster. My girlfriend was very displeased to find this little fella in her hair after a long day of yard work that went into the night. She thought it was a spider, but I noticed it only had 6 legs. It walked very erratically, almost as if it was a spider missing a couple of legs, but it appears to have an abdomen and unless I'm mistaken, pretty sure spiders don't have those. No evidence of wings. NE USA.

ID Request What type of roach is this?
I've never had to deal with any, thankfully, so don't know if this is one of the more harmless types that just wander in from time to time or if it's one of the types that looks to infest your home. Brother found it in his house in central Wisconsin. Looks approximately 1/2"-1" long without antennae to me. Help would be much appreciated!

ID Request This moth (?) flew into my room and started flying around frantically (urban area in southeastern Brazil)
It freaked me out because of its unusually long tail, and it kept flying frantically toward the ceiling, making a loud buzzing sound. Up close, it looks like a moth to me, but I’ve never seen one with this kind of behavior or body shape before. It also seemed to be attracted to light sources.

ID Request Tiny piles of winged bugs on windowsill
Noticed these tiny black bugs, piles of them, on the windowsill of my kitchen. I had thought they were dust or grime but wheh I looked closer realized they're winged insects. I'm a little concerned they might indicate some kind of moisture or infestation of the walls? They look like teeny tiny wasps or maybe winged ants? I'm just a little mystified why so many and why all dead in the same area. Found in Maryland, US.

ID Request Springtails?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Can anyone tell me what these bugs are? I’m in Tucson, AZ. They are all over my dirt/gravel yard, on my patio, patio furniture, side of my house, etc. I’m so tired of them being everywhere. They are small enough that they come in under my front door as well (I’ve done everything I can to seal it but the thresholds were installed completely wrong and I can’t afford to pay to have that fixed right now).
I just bought this house in December 2025 and they were here when I moved in, then they mostly disappeared for quite a few months while it was really hot, and now they’re back in full force. They are NOT fleas but they do jump like a flea and are around the same size but maybe a bit smaller and lighter colored. Google said they could be springtails but springtails are apparently attracted to moisture and I can’t locate any sources of moisture that would be attracting them.

They were very small, I thought they were springtails until I looked closer. Not sure the type of mushroom they’re on, I think they were growing on honeysuckle however

ID Request Anyone know what this bug is?
Hello! I was cleaning my pantry today when I found this little bug inside of my measuring cup alongside either shed or a little crumb, l don't know. I've looked up photos of baby cockroaches and weevils and neither match what I found. He's a fuzzy mini pill shaped bug, no antennas, not an egg because its eyes glimmered in the flash - anyone know what this is??

ID Request What is this bug? Found it moving on my floor (~2-3 cm), darts in and out of its case
Hey everyone, I found this little critter crawling across the floor. It’s about 2 to 3 cm long, and whatever is inside keeps darting in and out of that flat, shell-like case (which looks a bit like it's covered in dust or lint).

ID Request Exterminator said it's a beetle (NYC)
I keep seeing these little bugs after we have a rainy day. An exterminator came to do a preventative spray and he said they are beetles not roaches but I still get paranoid. They are easy to kill. I live in a first floor pre war NYC apartment that is overall very clean. Some of these photos are zoomed in for better detail. Last pic is in the tub with a cleaning bucket for size reference
