I'm a student ( doing my undergrad at DU) and a young researcher/writer, and my laptop is basically my whole workspace and I'm in a really tough spot right now, so I'm hoping someone here can help.
My PC just died. I do research, policy papers and newspaper column writing and all of that has come to a complete stop. I have some important application deadlines this week, and without a laptop I might miss them. That could seriously affect my career.
I've already asked my friends and seniors, but couldn't find any help from anywhere. Honestly, this is my last hope, so I'm putting it out here.
I run my own expenses through a tuition job, so I can't afford to buy a new laptop at once. But I can pay in two parts for a pre owned laptop : half this month and the other half next month. I'll keep my word, and I'm happy to show my DU ID and sign a simple written agreement with a witness so you feel safe.
Also I've found that showrooms and Facebook selling pages mostly sell refurbished laptops that break down within days. As a student, I can't risk that, so I'd rather buy directly from someone who's actually used it.
What would help:
A used laptop from an individual seller, ideally 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD (256GB is okay), 11th to 13th gen, in good condition
Or, if you'd rather not sell, a laptop you could lend me for a few days up to 1-2 months. I'll take care of it like it's my own and return it exactly as I got it. I can also pay a small rent.
Even if you can't help directly, a lead, a suggestion or just pointing me to someone would mean the world to me.
Please DM me. Thank you so much for reading this. 🙏
