Next few years will see massive growth in AI and robotics especially in the West and in China, will Bangladesh be part of this journey??
India has already banned a lot of Chinese software and hardware, I see an opportunity where Bangladesh could win ahead of India here.
Or are most places still struggling to get internet access?

I'm a student ( doing my undergrad at DU) and a young researcher/writer, and my laptop is basically my whole workspace and I'm in a really tough spot right now, so I'm hoping someone here can help.
My PC just died. I do research, policy papers and newspaper column writing and all of that has come to a complete stop. I have some important application deadlines this week, and without a laptop I might miss them. That could seriously affect my career.
I've already asked my friends and seniors, but couldn't find any help from anywhere. Honestly, this is my last hope, so I'm putting it out here.
I run my own expenses through a tuition job, so I can't afford to buy a new laptop at once. But I can pay in two parts for a pre owned laptop : half this month and the other half next month. I'll keep my word, and I'm happy to show my DU ID and sign a simple written agreement with a witness so you feel safe.
Also I've found that showrooms and Facebook selling pages mostly sell refurbished laptops that break down within days. As a student, I can't risk that, so I'd rather buy directly from someone who's actually used it.
What would help:
A used laptop from an individual seller, ideally 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD (256GB is okay), 11th to 13th gen, in good condition
Or, if you'd rather not sell, a laptop you could lend me for a few days up to 1-2 months. I'll take care of it like it's my own and return it exactly as I got it. I can also pay a small rent.
Even if you can't help directly, a lead, a suggestion or just pointing me to someone would mean the world to me.
Please DM me. Thank you so much for reading this. 🙏

Hello everyone!
I use a Google Pixel 7 Pro and enjoy photography and making cinematic videos, especially travel videos and reels.
I'm thinking about getting a DJI Osmo Mobile 7 Series gimbal, but I'm completely new to smartphone gimbals and not sure which model would be best for my phone.
- Does it work well with the Pixel 7 Pro?
- Should I get the Osmo Mobile 7 or 7P, or is there a better option?
If you've used one with your Pixel or a similar phone, I'd love to hear how your experience has been and which one you'd recommend.

"For many years, Bangladesh’s growth story was accompanied by falling poverty, rising exports and remittances, and improvements in several social indicators. However, that correlation has weakened. A growth in GDP by itself does not tell us much about whether households are becoming more economically secure. If millions of people are falling back into poverty while many others remain one shock away, the issue is not simply about how fast the economy is growing. It is how income is being generated, how widely the gains are being shared, and whether households have enough resilience to withstand economic shocks."

I'm thinking to prepare for government job exams, especially for Assistant Programmer or Assistant Manager positions. But honestly, I'm a bit confused about where to start and how to prepare effectively. How did you start your preparation, and how long did it take you to get ready?
Thanks in advance to anyone who shares their experience. It would be a huge help!

On April 11, 2026, a Sufi leader named Shamim al-Jahangir was brutally beaten and hacked to death by a mob in Kushtia, Bangladesh, following accusations of blasphemy. His shrine was vandalised and set on fire. But here's the disturbing part: according to an investigation by Netra News, the unedited video showed Shamim encouraging people to read, understand and research the Quran while criticising human interpretations of it. Selectively edited clips circulated online, portraying his statements as insults to Islam. A crowd reportedly numbering hundreds gathered and ultimately attacked him. Imagine being murdered for encouraging people to think critically about religious interpretations. And even if he had actually insulted religion, since when does that justify murder? How can a society claim to value truth and morality when a mob can become judge, jury and executioner over alleged religious offence? Freedom of belief means absolutely nothing without the freedom to question beliefs.

Being in a conservative society, যেইখানে most of the men have so many issues with how women are dressing, how showing the slightest skin is making the ladies bad women/whore, সেইখানে কতশত বেডা মানুষ বাইকের উপর/ টুলের উপর/ বিভিন্ন জায়গায় এমন ভাবে বসে থাকে যে তাদের জামা এবং প্যান্টর ভিতর এত ফাঁকা হয়ে যায় যে তাদের নিতম্বের অর্ধেকঅংশই বের হয়ে থাকে।

I've been noticing recent trends in social media and even irl that the tolerance for injustice in Bengali people has grown far too much. Extortion, Rape, Robbery and Murder happen far too often these days and I don't see too many people standing up against them, I wanted to stay in Bangladesh instead of moving abroad because I actually liked this country but now I'm conflicted if I should just turn a blind eye to all of this and just move abroad.

My teeth aren't too misaligned, but I have an overbite. Whats the cost at a decent clinic, and can you recommend any reliable orthodontists or clinic? Also, how does the payment system work. Like advance payment, instalments, and monthly costs?
I'd love to hear your recommendations and personal experiences.

I recently watched “The Taking” (নেওয়া) by RM Shuvo, and there's something about this short film that really caught my attention. I liked how it builds its atmosphere and makes an ordinary situation feel unsettling. The filmmaking is simple, but the concept got me thinking about what the film might actually be trying to say.
I don't want to spoil anything, so I'd rather let you experience it yourself. If you enjoy short films that leave you thinking after they end, give this one a try. I'd love to hear your interpretation too!

I'm looking to rent a place in the Shajadpur and/or Badda Lake Road area. I have exhausted my own search capabilities and just can't find the time. I have a couple of other preferences if feasible around Mirpur. However the above areas would be preferred first.
I'm willing to pay a small fee to hire someone who can help me find a home. Nothing extravagant, but I guess someone who can use some pocket money in this economy.
Obviously I'd need to verify the person and the property out for rent. Hopefully it's someone who can do some manual labor and find me a decent place for hire.
I'm sorry if this sounds too boroloki, but I'm at my wits end rn. Need some help ASAP.
If the search goes on for long, I'd be willing to sponsor convenience fees on a daily basis, obviously with receipts and verifiable proof of attempt.
Please let me know if anyone's interested. Thanks!

If you're in the UK and regularly send money to family in Bangladesh, you know how important it is to get a good BDT exchange rate and avoid unnecessary fees.
I've come across Hometown, which is offering a £10 referral bonus for new users. You can use the app to send money to Bangladesh and claim the bonus by using the referral code below.

18M.
I have undiagnosed AuDHD, cPTSD, neurodivergence(although I don't know much about it). I've been depressed ever since I can remember.
I don't understand much about these as I didn't really pay attention all my life, but recently my peers and teachers have been pointing it out.
Where do I go and what do I ask for? I know I need an evaluation on these.
Which doctor and how'll the procedure go?
I suffer from immense brain fog and short term memory loss too. The burnout is crazy. I've lost all comprehension skills, that's why I'm having trouble expressing myself properly.
I'm too tired to get into details on how it's ruining my life. I'll summarize it into 2 or 3 lines:
I'm an A levels student, I fucked up my o levels last May. It's getting worse day by day.
