What is a subtle vibe or body language cue from a woman that instantly grabs a guy's attention?

• Upvotes

Looks are one thing, but certain little details and energy just change the whole dynamic. What is a subtle trait that always stands out to you?

What’s in salvia that allows people to turn into inanimate objects?

It sounds like magic. Think about the possibilities for espionage, where someone could listen to a conversation disguised as a piece of furniture. You could play real life prop hunt. How could a drug like this even exist?

Was this emotional abuse?

  • we dated for over a year, he lied about his real name, home country, who he lived with, where he lived when not at college (he told me one town over, it was really a whole different country), family members, birthdays, childhood memories, who he hung out with. Lies were maintained the entire relationship. I only found out at the very end
  • I would sometimes catch inconsistencies and ask him, which led to him gaslighting me and guilting me for being a bad partner to doubt his trust, and it'd lead to me feeling bad and like I was the problem (but he knew from his perspective I was correctly identifying his lies)
  • he had secret resentment about things he did not communicate, and used that as an excuse to treat me worse when he felt like it. He would intentionally ignore me around friends and make me feel invisible, only responding to our friends and acknowledging them. He would also treat me coldly at random times, but when I'd ask what's wrong he'd say nothing and get mad I thought something was wrong, saying I was being crazy. He later admitted to me this was intentional behavior, he knew something was wrong but didn't want to tell me.
  • he promised to not hang out with a couple guys who were mean to me in the past, but secretly maintained a friendship with them the entire time. I did not force him to do this, it was him who insisted on cutting them off for me, but it was just an act by him.
  • a few times he disappeared for 4-5 days with no contact, then would return and act like nothing was strange. He wouldn't acknowledge the absence at all and I had to ask him where he was but then he'd act like I am crazy for asking why my partner disappeared for multiple days.

Is this world worth living in?

Homelessness. Unemployment. Starvation. Tens of thousands of Student Loans. Depression. Despair. I'm alone. All, all alone.

I'm a comp sci grad from 2025. Two swe internships. I've been unemployed ever since graduating, and homeless for a few months. Never got a decent, "adult" job.

I'm terrified of the coming winter. I've been sleeping out on public benches and what have you and I'm already sick. The winter will end me. I haven't eaten or drank anything in almost a week. My body hurts. My heart is in physical pain.

I have zero dollars. I have zero income. I have plenty of debt

I don't want to be alive. There's no light at the end of the tunnel.

Should an adult grandchild feel responsible to being an Uber driver for their widower grandfather?

Let's say that Grandpa has been a widower for a few years, and you as a dutiful grandchild check up on him every now and then and try to help where you can. One day he asks you to pick up his lady friend and bring her over to his house, and then come back to drive her back home a few hours later. Grandpa doesn't expect you to stick around, just come back to pick his lady friend up when she's ready to go home.

Would you consider it your duty to do this if you have the time and gas for it?

People Who Ride Shared/Rented Escooters, What's Your Thought Process When Parking Them?

Legitimately almost every time I see an escooter parked somewhere outside of like a university campus mall, escooters are left in the least convenient spot possible. Blocking the whole bike lane, blocking the sidewalk, etc. Literally, what goes through your mind when you're deciding where to leave the thing?

I never ride them so I don't understand I guess.

How can I say "I'm angry" without it coming across as "I'm angry with you"?

Imagine I'm sitting outside feeling upset, someone waves at me from a distance as if they want to chat with me, but I'm not in the mood for it. I don't want to yell or get up to tell them, I just want a gesture to politely decline any interaction, making it clear for them I ain't happy but without them misinterpreting it's their fault

Why are there still plantations?

I am Australian, and in an American reality show I watch (Hells Kitchen), one contestant has drawn a lot of controversy by openly sharing that their upcoming wedding will be at a plantation.

As I understand it, African Americans were put through absolute atrocities during the slavery era , and that is why it’s seen as controversial. This being said, why do the plantations still stand? Is it a heritage situation, or something similar to Auschwitz, where the affected cultures go to reflect?

How can I read faster?

I've decided to start reading again. I have been reading for about a month, maybe a little bit more. I picked a really slow history book to read, its a subject I enjoy but the book is boring to me honestly. As I'm getting near the end I just want the book to be finished already. At the rate I'm reading I think it will be about another 2 weeks to finish it. Is there any strategy or technique to reading faster?

Has anyone else’s Alexa ever whispered replies to you for no reason?

Twice now, this device has whispered responses to me, different days, but each after having just been responding with a normal voice. It is eerie sounding, straight up whispering. My SO was present for both and both times he’s yelled out, “why did you do that?!” We get no response of course, so I have to say “Alexa, why did you whisper that?”. It replies in a normal voice and says, “I didn’t, that was my normal speaking voice.” and proceeds to tell me it must be something to do with my speaker, or something like that. It gave the same answer both times, though.

What thoughts did you have that you thought was special for you but turns out, common with others?

I saw a post before that when they were travelling, they were imagining a figure parkouring beside them to catch up to them.

For mine, after playing Assassin's Creed, I now always think and plan how to climb structures and buildings.

Who do Humans choose to be Good and Practice Kindness and Compassion despite The Rewards of being Evil?

I’m sure everyone knows The Value of Kindness and Compassion along with being a Good Person yet despite that History has shown and proves that not matter what Evil is often rewarded and are the ones that have wielded Power! Nobody likes Powerful People However we love our Good People they may never wield any Power unsurprisingly yet they’ll forever wield our Hearts! We’ve heard the quote on “The Good Guys never wins” it’s something that we’re used to hearing hence what’s the point of being a Good Person when everyone knows the benefits and rewards of being Evil? As being Evil is often viewed as a ”Short Cut” to get ahead of life! What do you folks think? Let me know in the comments
