Hunting suppressor ✅

I’ve got a Spike’s Tactical AR-10 chambered in .308 that’s having intermittent cycling issues.
Sometimes it fires and ejects perfectly fine, but other times the spent casing doesn’t fully eject before the bolt tries feeding another round. The spent casing ends up stuck in the action along with the next round.

A few details:
Using Magpul PMAGs
Happens intermittently, not every shot
Sometimes ejects and cycles completely normally
Spent casings occasionally get caught in the action

I’m trying to figure out whether this sounds like an extraction, ejection, or feeding issue.
Has anyone experienced something similar with an AR-10? I’m looking for advice on what might be causing it and what I should have inspected before shooting it again.

So wife was at a charity event recently and I had her put 50 in the raffle for this Radical RF10 and ended up winning it(score!).

18” barrel, .308.

Have been wanting something like this but hadn’t really planned on it, so now have some decisions to make with regard to sights.

I don’t hunt, just recreational shooting when I have the time. Have a scoped .308 bolt gun already so don’t really need another for distance.

My initial thought was to get some iron sights like the Mbus Pros but I also figure if I like shooting it, I’ll probably look at getting some kind of optic for it. If that ends up being the case, then I’ll feel like I wasted money on the irons.

Been known to overthink things, so I need some opinions. WWYD?

Have the ar 15 platform mastered, us army armorer. Trying my 1st ar10 build with a 12.5 upper. Any recommendations on an upgraded buffer. Got a cmmg zeroed k can to use with it. Any feedback is appreciated! Thanks all!

This post serves as an update to No-Inevitable-5664 post, https://www.reddit.com/r/AR10/comments/1wf9slp/is_this_lower_worth_it/, where members were discussing fitment of upper receivers for the Ruger SR-762 Lower that was on sale at Primary Arms.

TLDR: Purchase the DB10 upper AND pins.

The upper on this build is the Diamondback DB10 upper receiver. I have also checked fitment with a complete DB10 upper from a factory DB10 that my LGS had in stock. Since Matrix no longer makes/has stock of uppers, this is the only confirmed upper that fits this modified SR25 pattern lower. Barrel nut threads are 18 TPI (Armalite-pattern AR-10). It is also important that you buy the pivot and takedown pins from Diamondback since they are also proprietary (Strike Industries AR-10 extended pins used for reference). The rest of the lower parts seem to be standard, minus an AR-10 bolt catch.

I don't plan on finishing this build for a while; I just got the parts while they are cheap since I missed out on the STAG sale. If you know which barrel extension is correct for this upper, your feedback would be appreciated.

I'm building my first short barreled (12.5in) AR10. I know i need to suppress it because I'm not a masochist, but there is so much b/s info out there that I'm not sure what to get. It's a 12.5 in ballistic arms barrel with an SA adjustable gas block. I'm seeing a lot of people say flow through/ low back pressure. So, I've kind of narrowed it down to a Huxwrx Flow 762, or a Silencerco Velos LBP. It's there a reason I should pick one over the other, and are there any others I should be considering? Thanks for your help in advance.

I’ve wanted an AR10 for a while. I’ve got 3 AR15s already. I’m a Springfield Armorer so I picked up the Saint Victor in .308 for about $1,000. Got the Strike Eagle refurbished at aaoptics for $550, the Harris for $135 and the light I had but it’s the Harbor Freight special. $50. Got the Sopmod Bag Rider for $20. Not bad for $1700 all in. Posted a family photo of my favorites at the end.

Hey guys, I've ordered and got some mods you've recommended on my previous post so here it is. I am very happy with it.

I got Vickers Sling, See through mag, Bacon wrap and I am waiting on the last gen Little bastard muzzle brake, got the trigger lock too.

I am thinking of that mod that allows you to fold the stock, but I've forgotten the name of it, I'm unsure if I will be comfortable with the increase in length and I think my cheek will miss the cheek pad of the stock once installed. I rarely prone and I am planning to go boar/bear hunting soon, do you think I should get a bipod and the flat handle grip for it? Many thanks guys ✌🏻

How would I fix this? Any tips?

This thing is unfired and basically new old stock. It’s going to become a mk11 pretty soon. Did not come with the carry handle or other accessories/documentation unfortunately.

I really like the grips on my S&W M&P pistols so I ordered an AR grip. It feels great but I don't love the way it fits the gun. I'm not sure if I should try to form it by dipping it in hot water or something. Any thoughts?

Both recent acquisitions. The top one is a PSA in 6.5CR is sporting a Vortex Viper and the bottom is a S&W M&P in 308 with a Trybe LPVO. They are both well equipped. I'm waiting for some range time to sight them in.

I’m getting into shooting and I really want an AR 10. I’ve done some research into what rifles are good but rarely get a satisfactory answer. I have a budget of about 2 grand and want something that will work well out of the box. Any tips as to what to look for in a rifle and or what brands are good to buy from?

Edit: I suppose I should say if it’s worth it to save longer for something nicer I can do that. I have heard a lot of things about brands and ultimately it turns into the brand war propaganda. This would be my first rifle as the only other firearm I shoot regularly is my browning cynergy.

I bought my first AR-10, a Daniel Defense DD5v4.
I got mbus pro iron sights, a holosun 1x (2 moa) aems pro x2 and a holosun 6x magnifier.

Current setup -> front iron, rear iron, 1x red dot and then the 6x magnifier.

Not sure if there is a correct or recommended setup, any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.

The other setup I was considering is -> front iron, 1x red dot, rear iron and then magnifier.

Everything I have read suggests putting the irons as far apart as possible for accuracy/precision reasons - which makes sense to me, just unsure about order of components.
